Ann Callaway Law

In light of the current emphasis on “social distancing”, anyone who would like to meet with me may do so via video-conferencing rather than coming to the office.

Keep in mind that you will need a computer set up with a camera and microphone.  Or, you can use a smart phone if that works for you.  Obviously, you will have to conduct your end of the conference in private if you wish to maintain attorney-client privilege.

If you would like to set up a video conference, either as a current client or a new client, please just contact my office to be put on the calendar.  I will initiate the call and send you the info you need to connect to my computer.

Civil Litigation

A Litigator with Proven Courtroom Experience

Not every dispute can be solved through negotiation and communication.  In such cases, a judge must hear both sides of an argument and hand down a ruling with which both parties are expected to comply.  Whether you have brought a legal complaint against another party or you are being sued in a civil matter, you need robust and dependable legal counsel with extensive litigation experience.

Ms. Callaway has represented clients in and around Fauquier County for more than 30 years.  Whether you are considering your options or you are already engaged in the litigation process, she can provide clear guidance based on decades of experience.  Ms. Callaway handles civil litigation for plaintiffs and defendants in matters such as:

  • Contract disputes
  • Collections
  • Promissory notes
  • Probate litigation
  • Will contests
  • Landlord-tenant issue
  • Injunctions
  • Forced property sales

From your first appointment, Ms. Callaway takes the time to understand and evaluate your case, so that she can explain your best options.  She is also forthcoming with you—if the cost of representing you outweighs your case’s chance of success, she will tell you.
